Finding More Mithril Than You Can Handle

Finding Mithril can be a pain, but not if you stick to the mountains on the outer rim of the Badlands. Here, you’ll find more Mithril than you can handle, and get to skill up to Thorium quickly.

Gems and Metals

If you’re looking for specific metals, or gems, it’s worth while knowing which can be found with which. A WOW mining guide will give you a complete list of combinations, but here are a few to get you started:

Silver – Lesser moonstone, shadow gem, moss agate

Gold – Lesser moonstone, citrine, jade

Iron – Citrine, jade, lesser moonstone, aquamarine

Copper – Tigerseye, malachite

Some nodes might respawn as a rarer metal, and usually, those are precious metals, so keep your eyes out for these types, if you’re looking for rare metals:

• Tin respawns as Silver
• Mithril respawns as Truesilver
• Iron respawns as Gold

If you want to keep track of where you’ve found metals before, to make mining easier, get your hands on the gatherer add on. This little mini map lights up when you’re near areas where you’ve had mining success before, so it’s a valuable time saver!

Other Critical Skills

In order to make mining work for you, there are many, many other skills you need to learn, places you need to find, and lots of time you’ll need to spend. Look out for tips on how to smelt elementium, find thorium and smelt dark iron.
